Our neighbors at the Lonesome Dove are welcome 2017 with the gastronomic experience of a lifetime. Join world renowned chef Tim Love and his crew for a 4-course meal packed with authentic western cuisine.

Looking forward to an evening with a little more Razzle Dazzle? The Sapphire is preparing for a prohibition-themed evening that would have been all the rave in 1920s America. The Modern Bar and Restaurant, located on Gay Street, is offering several reservation packages including various seating arrangements, a fresh prixe fixe 4-course meal, and a bottle of Mumm champagne to toast the passing of another year. Music from DJ 4matiks will begin at 10.

For a more formal evening, consider joining our friends at Crowne Plaza for their New Year’s Eve event, featuring a Surf & Turf dinner buffet, music from local R&B band Boys Night Out, and a champagne toast at midnight.

Some people favor a classic Knoxville celebration. There is no better place for a traditional Tennessee celebration that Club LeConte in the Plaza Tower. For New Year’s Eve, Club LeConte is hosting an evening full of food and fun for its members and friends! They will be serving up a delectible 5-course meal accompanied by Jim O’Connor on the piano. Then, at 9, the party will begin with bluesy tunes from the Chillbillies, party favors, and an open bar.

Fancy champagne toast for the new year

You will not have to walk far to find a glass to toast with this New Year’s Eve! Our neighbors right next door at the Old City Wine Bar will pour you a glass to start your 2017 off with class. They will be kicking off their New Year’s Eve party at 7 pm with a buffet opening at 8pm. At midnight, guests will receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to toast for midnight. OR, if you’re feeling adventurous, try their Champagne flight for three distinct, authentic champagne samples.

If the sophistication of wine and champagne aren’t quite your pace, you may want to check out the New Year, New Glass reveal party being thrown by Pretentious Beer Company. They will be offering a wide variety of craft beers during the debut of their new champagne style glasses. There will also be live jazz music, classic movies, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and–of course–a viewing of the Time Square ball drop.

Ready to rock out this New Year’s Eve? Knoxville is proving that it can be your music destination this year with a different show on every block!

For an evening of Celtic flare, join our neighbors at Boyd’s Jig & Reel for their New Year Celtic Concert. The Piper Jones Band will be performing at 10 pm. Grab yourself a pint and get ready to rock.

For a larger show, check out The Mill & Mine’s New Year’s Eve celebration! Watch The Black Lillies with special guest Alanna Royale at Knoxville’s newest concert venue. Complimentary champagne will be offered for a midnight toast. Doors open at 8 pm, music starts at 9 pm. Standing room only. Patrons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian.

Standing room not your style? Looking to put a little Funk in your New Year’s Eve? Make your way over to the Bijou Theater to get jiggy with Gran Torino. Voted Knoxville’s best homegrown act, Gran Torino brings together a variety of instruments to create funk-rock that will bring down the house. Show starts at 9 pm.

If you are looking for a shmorgishborg of musical talents, head on over to Scruffy City Hall in Market Square. Their New Year’s Eve line up will feature David Bowie tribute Gillian, Prince tribute band New Power Soul, and 90s tribute band Teen Spirit. Doors open at 5 pm with performances going from 8 pm through midnight.

Trying to end the year in pure party mode?

Be a part of the party of the year with New Year’s Eve in the Old City! Six local bars and clubs are teaming up for one last hoo-rah in 2016. Purchase a wristband at the door of any venue for entry into all six locations.

If you prefer EDM to Top Hits soundtracks, check out New Year’s Eve at The International presented by 94Z WNFZ, Temple, and MDX. Both The Concourse and The International will be hosting shows by Huglife music, Ede Gee, James Scott, Jason Paul, Z Is Not A DJ, Warren Peace, and DemonGirl. This is an 18+ event. Champagne will be given to all patrons over 21 for the midnight balloon drop.
